I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and couples on a variety of issues including, gender and sexuality, relationships, depression, and anxiety. I have additional training using the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) to treat attachment, relational and complex trauma.

I engage in counseling through a person-centered and trauma-informed lens creating an atmosphere that feels safe and judgement free. I work with the intention to increase connection with yourself while remaining open with curiosity and interest in learning more about your internal experience. Through our interactions together I aim to continually affirm any religious, spiritual, gender, cultural and social identities you follow.

Sophia is a staff therapist at Bergen Counseling Center and is currently accepting new clients via telehealth and in-person at our Ravenswood and Downtown Chicago Locations.
